The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) insists we embrace “sustainable development” to save the planet. But when CFACT asked ICLEI members at their “World Congress” in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, we got more “umms” and “uhhs” than anything else!
I think we should be generous and make a contribution to the sustainable crowd. We should take down all our wind mills and solar panel and send them to these folks. The greenies, I am sure, will be very happy to receive these gifts as they laud them all the time.
I fear that this might actually lower their living standard just as the windmills and solar cells have been lowering ours. But its the thought that counts, not the results.
